Heated Pool

The lovely in ground heated pool is open from April to October. It measures 10m x 5m with depths from 1m to 1.8 m and has roman steps for easy access in and out. It is fully enclosed for child safety and has lockable double action security gates and an alarm which corresponds the French security regulations. The water is heated to 28°c (although the exact temperature in early April and late October is also dependent to an extent on the ambient temperature).

NEW from October 2011 there is a new telescopic abri (all weather cover) which can be rolled on and off so comfortable swimming is possible whatever the weather or temperature. With the abri cover on it is like swimming in an indoor pool but the cover can be completely rolled off the pool to enjoy the pool uncovered in hot, sunny weather. The abri cover also keeps the water temperature very warm, over 8°c higher than it would be without a cover, so it's very comfortable to swim in during the Spring and Autumn months, which is not the case in non covered pools.

Ample sunbeds, cushions and parasols are provided for guests to use for relaxing around the pool.

The pool can be floodlit at night for late night swims in the dark.

There is a large selection of well maintained bikes, both for adults (some with baby/toddler seats) and children which are available for use free of charge. A disused railway track is less than 1km away and is ideal for traffic free cycling.

Separate patio and barbecue areas

Every cottage has its own patio area with a lovely view out to the garden. Barbecues, tables, chairs and parasols are provided for each cottage.

Grounds

The 2 acres of lawned garden are ideal for families to picnic in, or play sports such as cricket, rounders, football and badminton.

There is a trampoline (3m diameter) with safety net and a play area for young children,with swings and a slide.

At the back of the pool, there is a 10m x 4m boules court near a small orchard, with apple, pear, plum, peach and hazelnut trees.
